I can't install a ScanJet 5590 on a new laptop running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. I ran into several related issues lately. I downloaded the latest software, and when I run it, the installation window disappears shortly after it starts. HP Photosmart 3210 will not install on a brand new desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. HP Photosmart 3210 will not install on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. After that I installed the printer and everything is fine now. I really believe that my problem was one or more files that are damaged somewhere, so I took the easy way and installed Windows 10.
Sorry it took so long to get back but things have been hectic. I need help in the worst way! Thanks in advance for any help. I also read some relevant posts in this forum without good results. I also disabled my antivirus (Panda Cloud AV) and that made no difference. At this point, I'm out of ideas and really need help. I went through this about six or eight times, try different things each time. I even checked to ensure that the appropriate records were in place after not install for the first time. I totally uninstalled all the software before you try to reinstall. I do not understand that because it has been installed and operating at once through my wireless network and still work on my desk. I downloaded the current software on the HP site and tried to use the disc that came with the printer. In both cases, that the installation program begins to run, goes through four steps and when it is installing updates, it disappears from the screen.
